Vice President of the Republic of Ghana His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Monday 14 September, 2020 had a meeting world’s second richest man, Mr. Bill Gates.
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia disclosed the information about the meeting with Mr. Bill Gate after they have done their conversation. Mr. Bawumia shared the meeting he had with Gates on his social media plaforms.
The meeting was held virtually on zoom.
Honorable Deputy Health MinisterDr. Oko-Boye, joined the meeting.

He shared on twitter “Earlier today, I held a zoom meeting with @BillGates, founder of Microsoft to discuss three key issues:
Mr. Bawumia said they discussed with the Founder of Microsoft Ghana’s progress after covid-19, specifically . Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2), the lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19.
He added to his tweets “Earlier today, I held a zoom meeting with @BillGates, founder of Microsoft to discuss three key issues: 1. Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2). 2. The lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19, and Ghana’s digitization strategy.”
Vice President Bawumia said they had a good a good exchange of views and thanked Mr. Bill Gates for honoring the meeting.
“It was a good exchange of views and he congratulated Ghana for the strides we have made on several fronts.
I also thanked him and the @gatesfoundation for their successful work in the fight against polio and other diseases.
