Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Friday 11 September, 2020 as part of his in the Upper East Region, joined fellow Muslims in Bolgatan Central Mosque.

He wrote on his Facebook page “Earlier today, I joined fellow Muslims in Bolgatanga, the Upper East Regional capital, to observe Jummah prayers at the Bolga Central Mosque.”

Mr. Bawumia also said he requested the Iman to pray for victims of the recent flood in the Upper East and North East Regions. He added “I requested the Imam to pray for victims of the recent flood in the Upper East and North East Regions, as well as for the peace, unity and prosperity of our country.”

The Veep said he joined the prayers and requested from the Iman to pray for him and the president ahead of the 2020 general elections. “I thank the Imam, Sheikh Yusif Adam praying for me, the President, and our beloved country.”

Moreover His Excellency the Vice President finally asked the people to embrace peace and unity among themselves.

” I also urged the congregation to continue to embrace peace and unity among themselves.”
