In a post sighted by Ghgossip.com, Nana Appiah Mensah is decrying the situation, lamenting of being treated not a Ghanaian.

According to the SEC, Menzgold was dealing in the purchase and deposit of gold collectibles from the public and issuing contracts with guaranteed returns with clients, without a valid license from the Commission.

According to the SEC, it’s a contravention of “section 109 of Act 929 with consequences under section 2016 (I) of the same Act,” which therefore ordered Menzgold to desist from its trading activities.

But the boss of Menzgold seems to be very furious with the treatment being meted out to Menzgold.

In the post sighted, he spoke of how some of his family members played crucial roles in the struggle for Ghana’s Independence, indicating that he is a true Ghanaian who must be allowed to do his business without any form of attacks.

According to him, his grandfather, Samuel Brew, fought in the Second World War and in the build-up to Ghana’s Independence.

‘An uncle of mine called Uncle Ernest Wood also served as the Colonial Secretary during the transition from Gold Coast to Ghana, therefore he is not less of a Ghanaian’ he lamented.

He tweeted: “Grandpa of blessed memory Samuel Brew, fought in the 2nd World War and in the build up to Ghana’s Indepbuild-up Uncle Ernest Wood served as the Colonial Secretary to transition from Gold Coast to Ghana. I am not less of a Ghanaian. Freedom is expensive. I AM DETERMINED TO PAY.”

Meanwhile, Journalists from Multimedia Group and TV3 were on Wednesday reportedly manhandled by some workers of Menzgold for trying to seek reactions to the firm’s latest standoff with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
