Outspoken Ghanaian actress and activist, Ms Lydia Forson has wade into the treatment the society gives to people allegedly to be members of Lesbians, Gays, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT).

This comes after top Ghanaian Highlife sensational singer Kwabena Kwabena faced a heavy backlash on social media with many users alleging that the singer is now ‘gay’. According to many social media users, the ‘Bue Kwan’ hit maker’s behavior nowadays with regards to his constant painting of his fingernails and his pose in recent photos proves he’s now part of the LGBT community.

The singer yesterday during an interview with popular blogger Sammy Kay debunked the rumors saying the people should stop profiling people based on their actions or dressing that they belong to the LGBT community. He said painting of the fingernails or holding your waist to pose for a photo doesn’t mean one is gay.

Ms Lydia Forson wading into the issue stated no one will understand how these people go through until you experience their problems at first hand. She used until one is stopped, questioned, probably beaten or jailed because someone took one look at him wearing earrings, a pink shirt, painted fingernails, and decides ‘He’s gay’ no one will never understand.

The social commentator added that until we stop profiling people for been ‘gay’ this way, the society and the country as a whole has set itself on a very dangerous path because even fashionistas are not even safe.

Until you’re stopped, questioned, probably beaten or jailed because someone took one look at you wearing earrings, a pink shirt, painted fingernails, and decides “hey you must be gay”; you won’t understand this dangerous path we’re on. Oh yea fashionistas e go reach you.
