A woman who threw her newborn into a pit toilet has been arrested by Anambra police officers.
The 30 year old woman, Franca Udokwu who is from Obuba Obofia Nkpor Community in Idemili North LGA of Anambra State, upon investigation and interrogation revealed the spot where she dumped her baby.

The newborn was rescued as soon as possible and rushed to Iyi-Enu Mission Hospital, but doctors confirmed its death on arrival.
PPRO of Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed affirmed the incident saying the corpse of the baby has been sent to the morgue for autopsy while the suspect is been arraigned for court.
