Many of us have lived this tale— how we were taught not to wear short dress or skimpy clothes because it could entice men to potentially force us to having s3x with us. And sadly, it was the truth but in today’s world, a lot more than just a skimpy dress can get someone to rape you.

Deborah Vanessa says it was stupid for them to have imbibed that into her when she was growing up.
“I remember when I was in school, we were taught that when a lady wears a short skirt it can lead to rape.
“Times are changing and our minds are evolving, we are understanding the world and people better.
“As I have grown up, I have realised that it was a very stupid thing they taught me in school to tell me that we shouldn’t wear a short skirt or dress.”
