Davido and Wizkid have been at each other’s throat for a very long time for supremacy, at least that is what we have been made to believe.
Their fans are quick to engage in online war against each other and drag whoever is not on their respective side into their bias mesh.
However in an interview with HIP TV, the 50-year old renowned DJ and one of the proponent of Hiphop in Nigeria said the supposed rift between them is healthy and good for the industry.
He said:
“It’s healthy. They go to the same clubs and they party together and we don’t hear of any fight. It’s just the music and these days, the sensationalism of the internet.
“One word, clap back and everybody is talking.”
“Sometimes they don’t even put music out there but they are always in the conversation.”
“I think that’s good but sometimes it can be below the belt but let’s keep it clean. It’s like boxing, you can hit your opponent but not below the belt.”
