After receiving lots of criticisms from Ghanaians, the senior national team Black Stars bounced in style to trounce their Congolese counterparts by 5 – 1 in the second leg return leg of the 2018 World Cup Qualifier at the Stade de l’Unité, Brazzaville.

The game got underway with the Black Stars demonstrating a sense of urgency that was not seen in the first leg.

Goals from Richmond Boakye (a brace) Yiadom and Thomas Partey (a hat trick) gave Ghana the maximum points.

Some Ghanaians we interviewed soon after much were extremely happy with the results but expressed pessimism because it could prove insignificant if Uganda and Egypt keep winning in the rest of the matches.

Ghana will play against Uganda in October and Egypt in November later this year.
