Tramadol is the new drug being abused extensively by the youth in Ghana and other parts of West Africa. Reports say it has ruined several lives whilst others have been sent to their early graves.

This prompted broadcast journalist, Nana Aba Anamoah to start a campaign against the menace. Together with GHOne, they started a program which brought to the fore the the widespread of the abuse and addiction.

One of the most consistent people who appear on the program is 17 year old Kofi who hails from Labadi. The young lad was an addict but thanks to the program, he’s gradually refining himself.

In consonance with that, business mogul Bola Ray took him out for shopping which obviously excited the teenager. Bola has also promised to sponsor his education. Nana Aba Anamoah made this known on her Instagram timeline.

She wrote:

Remember 17-year old Kofi from Labadi? Kofi was oblivious of the repercussions of abusing tramadol until our medical friends made that clear to him.

We are happy to report after two months that he’s stopped taking tramadol. Thanks to @bolarayofficial, Kofi will be going back to school in the next couple of months.
