There was drama at Zabzugu Senior High School in the Northern Region of Ghana when some angry students beat up their teachers for failing to condone their intention of cheating in the ongoing West African Senior  School Certificate Examination (WASSSCE).

The report indicate that prior to the exams, the students were searched thoroughly and any foreign material found on them were seized.

This angered the students and that begun the chaos, as stones and other deadly items were thrown at the teachers for their defiance.

A student of the school is quoted as saying “Even though they did not have any pact with their teachers to allow them to cheat, they were reliably informed that teachers from other schools aid their students by allowing them to copy.”

District Chief Executive of Zabzugu Hon. Iddi Ahmed has called for calm in the wake of escalating tension.
