A video has been sighted by ghgossip.com that captures the moment a 45-year-old woman identified as Dolores Diaz Lopez saved her 5-year-old son from kidnappers on Hillside Avenue, Queens.

In the video, the lady was seen walking with her son and his siblings by the roadside when the suspected kidnapper came out of his car and picked up the boy from the sidewalk.
The suspect quickly placed the boy in the backseat of the car while his accomplice sits at the front ready to drive off with the boy.
The brave mother quickly moved towards the kidnappers’ car and yanked the boy out of it through the window. The suspect quickly drove off after their plan failed.
Speaking in an interview with the media, Dolores Diaz Lopez said that she was on her way to visit her husband at work with her children when the incident happened.
“I don’t know why that happened. I didn’t see those people, ever. You have to do what’s necessary, no matter what. The car was just parked there. I would never have imagined that a man would get out of the car and grab my son. You always have to be aware of your surroundings and not be on your phone”, he said.
However, one of the suspects identified as James McGonagle who is 24 years has been arrested and charged with attempted kidnapping, reckless endangerment, and acting in a manner injurious to a child younger than 17.
Meanwhile, the New York Police Department has issued a search warrant for the second suspect involved in the attempted kidnapping of a 5-year-old boy.
