The inferiority associated with movies churned out from Kumasi continue to receive criticisms from the general public but sadly we are yet to see any improvement.
On this account, a renowned radio presenter with Adom FM has stated categorically that he wouldn’t allow his kids to watch their movies.
Captain Smart, speaking on Hitz FM’s Daybreak Hitz, said apart from the fact that the movies are substandard, they are fraught with abusive words.
He said:
I will never allow my children to watch Kumawood movies. I will rather watch it in my bedroom far away from my children. Too much insult. It will be a parental crime if I allow them to watch it.
However, he stressed that he personally do watch Kumawood movies because he’s matured enough to overlook the insults but the children may copy everything they see.
