sekzual harassment against females in the entertainment industry still abounds. Though many have covered the lid on this shameful act, pretending it doesn’t exist at all lots of actors and actresses have confirmed it is really cancer which is killing talent and stifling the growth of the industry.
One of such of actors is Victor Osuagwu. Victor is famous for his stupid antics in movies which has soared his enviable reputation. The actor, who was a former Chairman of Lagos Chapter of AGN (Actors Guild of Nigeria), said he did his part to curtail the abominable act during his stewardship.
He reckons that the situation is deep rooted hence the need for a collective effort to eradicate it outright. Revealing the modus operandi of these producers, Victor said the producers will organize an audition and as a criterion to be picked they ask the ladies for sekz. This according to him has resulted in the low quality of movie production.
He bemoaned the fact some amateurs are also blameable since they don’t want to acquire proper training to enhance their acting skills.
“These days, before you are auditioned, you pay money, before you act, you pay money and that’s why we are having wishy-washy production all over. This is not the AGN we are looking for.”
“Sometimes you also have to blame up and coming ones. When they tell you that they are ready to do anything, what do you do? A gullible producer, director, production assistant, personal assistant will rip you off because you can do anything,” he said.
