The Pretoria Magistrate court has acquitted Isibaya actress Zinhle Mabena after being charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
The actress appeared in court this afternoon after she was arrested last night in what she describes as a night of hell. Zinhle was facing two charges one was murder and the other was attempted murder. Her husband survived a scare at a filling station last month after his car was shot at by three gunmen which led to the death of one of his bodyguard.
After spending last night in police custody and appearing in court this afternoon, the prosecutor dismissed the charges and deemed her arrest unlawful. After the ruling, the actress, in an interview with the Daily Suns, said:
I cannot pretend and begin to explain how traumatic last night was for me to spend a night in police detention. I thank my family, close friends and my legal team for their support and faith in my innocence despite the despicable and utter lies that are spreading against me.
