Thousands of people have filled 38th street and chicago, the exact spot unarmed black man George Floyd was chokeheld to death by four Minneapolis police officers.
The death of George Floyd has seen different reactions from people of the world likewise people from Minneapolis and different neighbourhoods as they have been spotted converging at the spot were he died.
His death has brought together people from all walks of life, irrespective of colour and language to the forefront, seeking justice and equality among citizens.
The emergence of the deadly coronavirus was thought to be a life changing moment to people of the world but it appears some people unsee that, one social media user said.
@andrelagdameo, one of the protesters pushing the #JusticeForFloyd agenda reacted saying,
” this is not right and this will never be right. Just because your colour is different doesn’t mean you should be treated different, regardless the colour of your skin, you are as human as someone else yet some people can unsee that and they actually have to be reminded of that. I hope that this time we don’t stay silent and continu to speak up for what is right. I hope that each of us continue to be loving, caring and compassionate regardless of the differences we may have ….”
