Rwanda, the first country in sub-Saharan Africa to order a total shutdown because of the coronavirus has shot down it first incompliant citizens for defying the “stay home” order given by the government.

According to Rwanda National Police spokesman John Bosco Kabera, two men believed to be in their twenties were shot dead by the police for ” attempted tussle with the police ” on the lockdown rules.

The lockdown rules is a direct order from the government to curb the further spread of the deadly coronavirus in the country. Rwanda has currently recorded 40 cases of the virus and is looking to contain and eradicate it.
