Two alleged scammers identified as Awuah Forson, 46, and Ekow Hackman, 71 have been arrested by the police for allegedly defrauding to the tune of GHC250,000.

These two were believed to have been parading themselves as people linking others to the security academy to be enrolled in the Immigration Academy and Training school.

One of the young ladies who was duped of an amount of GHC10,600 stated that she met Mr. Forson at Tema so he can take her to the camp himself but in their conversation, she told him about a brother who would like to join the immigration.

Mr. Forson asked her to tell the brother who was an officer but disguised himself as a mere citizen to send the money but he refused and asked him to come for the money himself.

Mr. Forson upon arrival was arrested by the immigration officers along with his accomplice for defrauding people.

The two are currently in the custody of the Immigration officer at Tema Comm.2
