A 46-year-old lady identified as Ntiriwaa Bonsu and another 16-year-old have been arrested by the police after “cannabis-laced sweets were found in their possession.

This was after the police raided at Gyinyase in the Asokwa Municipality of the Ashanti Region. The two were arrested and detained under the charges of narcotic drugs.
The alleged contraband items believed to included seventeen (17) compressed parcels of dried leaves, one thousand two hundred and twenty-eight (1,228) candies believed to contain cannabis.
The police also discovered rubber buckets and mini drums full of local gin. Investigations have already been commenced on the issue as the two are being prepared to appear before the court.
