One of the favourite programs of Ghanaian children is TV3’s talented kids. The program started in 2009 and was designed to unearth talents and give them the pedestal to reach greater heights.

This year’s edition is season 8 and started off with a fierce competition and display of rare talent from the contestants. Eventually only seven competitors made it to the finals.

And on May 7, the grand finale went down live at the National Theatre and predictably Erica Tandoh, popularly known as DJ Switch won the competition with deft display of her talent which got her a standing ovation from the judges.

DJ Switch was presented GH¢10,000 cash prize, GH¢6,000 educational fund, products and souvenirs from sponsors including Indomie products.

The group Naquel, placed second, walking home with GH¢8,000 cash prize, educational fund, products and souvenirs from sponsors while Christian Morgan (the physically challenged), a 12-year old pupil of the Cape Coast School for the Deaf and Blind in the Central Region came third.
