In a sad report, the wife of the former Benue State Commissioner of Police, Mrs. Eunice Aghanya has been assassinated by gunmen.
Per what we gathered, she was murdered by these unknown gunmen at her residence, behind Kismet Hotel, off David Mark Bye-pass on March 12.
Her husband, Ibezimako Aghanya was reportedly not at home when the incident occurred as he was said to be in Lagos.
A report by Linda Ikeji’s Blog revealed that she might have been trailed to her house by the assailants as she was said to have returned home around 4 pm and parked her car in the compound.
Her husband who had a hard time reaching her then called his younger brother to go and check on her.
Upon getting to the house, she discovered that her car was parked but the door to the house was locked and he had to break the door to enter the house.
He went inside only to meet her in the pool of her blood dead with machete wounds on the head. The incident was confirmed by the Spokesperson of the Benue State Police Command, DSP Catherine Anene.
