This year’s category has some of the toughest and the greatest rappers in the music scene. The nominees are Strongman Burner, Amerado, AMG Medikal, Joey B, Sarkodie, and the only female sending threats to her colleagues in the category, Eno Barony.

These rappers are definitely the names one will mention when asked to list the topmost rappers in the Ghana music industry.

Well, rapper, YPee thinks these rappers do not deserve to be awarded in this category. According to him, he is the right person for this particular award.

In a post he made on Snapchat, YPee told the nominees that whoever wins in the category should peacefully deliver the plaque to him because it belongs to him.

YPee seems to have a lot of confidence making this claim. Although he is also classified as one of the fast-rising rappers in the music scene, looking at the nominees, I don’t think he starts the chance to compare himself to them.

However, YPee had a featured song nominated in the award scheme. Kofi Jamar’s song “Ekorso” which features Yaw Tog and YPee was nominated in the best collaboration of the year category.

The same song was also nominated in the Best HipHop song of the year category. YPee still believes that he deserves to be acknowledged as the best rapper in Ghana.
