The tenure of office of Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu has been increased by 3 months.

Mohammed Dingyadi, the Minister of Police Affairs gave this update on Thursday afternoon on February 4.

The reason for the extension was to allow room for a proper selection of a successor to take over from Adamu. The tenure of IGP ended on Monday, February 1.
