Renowned Nigerian comedian and event promoter Ayo Makun simply known as AY Makun has charged his colleague celebrities to support Nollywood productions the same way they show support for Hollywood productions.
Coming on the back of reports amid, posts, photos and videos making rounds on social media on how celebrities attended the premiere of ‘Coming to America 2’ movie which was organized in Lagos, Nigeria, AY Makun has called on industry stakeholders and brands to also throw their weight behind movies produced in Nigeria.

Taking to his Twitter account, he wrote;
There is nothing wrong in showcasing the effectiveness of our presence when supporting Hollywood projects in Nigeria.
But I keep praying for brands and celebrities to also support Nollywood the same way they took Black Panther and cominng to Amercia 2 like a six-unit course.”
