Mr. Franklin Cudjeo, Founding President of IMANI Center for Policy and Education Ghana, has expressed his frustrations of the recent text messages MTN is sending to it network subscribers; promoting the New Patriotic Party (NPP) for 2020 general elections.

The Chief Executive Officer of IMANI has took to his tweeter account and tweeted, asking Ghanaians to demand payment from the government for sending them messages that are fueled with politically motivated campaign messages they never asked.

He wrote: “Fellow Ghanaians, chill. Pls let’s just ask the govt to send momo next time they send you unsolicited campaign messages. My number costs GHC50,000 per message!”

Ironically, he coiled his sentiments in a way that one would not see the degree of it seriousness.

“If I don’t get that momo, anytime the message comes? I will hand over the entire govt to Lolobi gods. This message has been inspired and endorsed by JayJay D Segbefia.” He added.

The Ghana’s telecommunication giant MTN has of late been sending NPP’s campaign messages to people on phone by text. Some Ghanaians have condemned the network for choosing sides between the two biggest political parties in the country.
