One of the outspoken members and conveners of the #FixTheCountry
protest has urged the leaders of Ghana to stop embarrassing the country.

This comes after the group were prevented from protesting on the streets of the nation’s capital Accra yesterday after the Accra Regional Police Command obtained a restraining order from the Accra High Court stopping the group from demonstrating.

The group has then decided to take a new approach to their protest, that’s, taking photos of problems facing them in their locality and uploading them on social media and tagging the authorities involved as well.

It may interest you to know that, the #FixTheCountry hashtag, which is being used by many social media users to express their dissatisfaction and grievances to the government and the leadership of this country has been consistently be trending on micro blogging site Twitter as number one for exactly a week now and its related hashtags has collectively about half a million tweets for the past 7 days.

The outspoken social media influencer stated Ghana needs a working sanitation system to combat the rapid dumping of ‘refuse’ outside and on the road.

She said our leaders see a working system whenever they travel outside the country, but when foreigners visit Ghana, all that they see is a broken system as this is act is so embarrassing and doesn’t speak well for a country like Ghana.
