Old musicians in the country have often criticized the genres of music the current cop of musicians churn out.
They say Hiplife for instance is noisy and full of rubbish. However Donzy of Club fame is adamant and insist the oldies should realize the world has evolved and so is music.
The musician, whose real name is Ellias Ewusi Essel is also of the opinion that some of the songs of veteran musicians do not make sense.
Donzy said:
“The trend of music in Ghana has changed and people need to accept this fact. Even in America, things are not the way they used to be in the days of 2Pac Shakur.
I hear people say that [songs of] artistes of this generation don’t make sense [but] some of the ‘oldies’ don’t make sense as well.”
We would have been happy if Donzy had mentioned just one of those old school songs which does not make sense in his opinion lol!
