Truth be told, this song has garnered a good amount of attention and airplay and though to a very large extend most people do not understand let alone hear the lyrics— it is likely to get one nodding their head or tapping their feet when it is being played.
We are not saying it would not win the most popular song of the year in this year’s VGMA, we dare not say that. All that we saying is the spot is quite big for such a song.
That notwithstanding , the artiste behind Solo, Article Wan is very optimistic. According to him, his song is winning that opening come what may.
We are safe to say in his head he has already prepared his speech and collected the award.
Speaking to Zionfelix on Radio Univers’ Brunch2Lunch entertainment show, he said:
“Solo was the most popular song from February I released it till the end of the year. It is still trending in town. I am not saying because I’ the man behind it.
The media, fans and even the organisers of the awards can testify to what I’m saying so with that category I’m winning it hands down.
I’m not the only artiste who came up last year so let’s see what happens but we are going for the best. It is a competition but not a fight so it is fine when I win but when I lose, it tells me to work harder”
