Award winning movie producer and director, Shirley Frimpong Manso could end up in jail if she fails to pay the SSNIT contributions of her workers.
Shirley, owner of Sparrow Productions Limited, a company which provides advertising services has failed to pay the SSNIT contributions of her workers totaling GH¢64, 203.52.
She was promptly fined GH¢600 by an Accra Magistrate court and given more time to settle its indebtedness or in default would serve 14 days imprisonment.
Shirley was not in court when judgment was pronounced, but her representative, Kenneth Attoh, a director of the company, was convicted on his admission of guilt.
