I don’t know how Shatta Wale does it. He is growing from strength to strength consistently which is not rare in Ghana music landscape (I mean to be very consistent for a number of years is unattainable).

His newest track, Taking Over is getting rave reviews nationwide and everyone is much in love it. One of such people is popular Ghanaian actor and comedian, Reindorf Doe aka Sergeant Dee (my favourite character in the defunct Cantata show).

Taking Over, that features Joint 77, Addi Self and Captan, is currently the hottest song in Ghana and was produced by Willis Beatz. In the song, Shatta Wale mentioned the name Sergeant Lee, and this part is the favourite of most lovers of the song.

Sergeant Dee interacted with razzonline.com in connection to how he perceives the song since he is also called Sergeant Dee. This is what he said: “Chaley…Shatta Wale is a dare devil. He is simply the best dancehall artiste. I love the ‘Take Over ‘song extremely well and the part where he mentioned Sergeant Lee is amazing. This is called creativity. I like that part because am also called Sergeant Dee so I love it.”

”I just can’t fathom why he was not nominated at this year’s VGMA. I strongly think Charterhouse must settle every difference with Shatta so that next year he will be part of the scheme to make it livelier.”
