This comes after Mr James Oppong Boanuh’s comment on the James Town bullion van robbery attack was met with a lot of criticisms by Ghanaians as many believes he is not fit to hold the office as the IGP.

Recall the IGP visited the family of the police officer who was shoot and killed during the process of the robbery, General Constable Emmanuel Osei with police service number G/C 58449 and also a member of the National SWAT Unit a day after the robbery.

After meeting the family and assuring them his men will bring the armed robbers to the ‘books’, the IGP went on to address the media who were present at the family house of the deceased police officer.

It was this time that he was approached to comment on a statement made by a security expert where he accused the IGP and the whole entire police service of not ‘being up to task’ in their duties to ensure the safety of Ghanaians.

The IGP in his reaction stated that every country has its own crises in fighting crime and that Ghana is of no different from countries like the United States, The United Kingdom and the rest of top level security advanced countries who still facing problems in ensuring the safety of its citizens.

The controversial part of the address came when Mr James Oppong Boanuh stated it’s only in ‘Heaven’ that there’s no crime. Watch video below;
