Few months ago, the Bank of Ghana revoked the licences of uniBank Ghana Limited, The Royal Bank Limited, Beige Bank Limited, Sovereign Bank Limited, Construction Bank Limited and UT Bank over what was termed ‘financial difficulty.’
Instantly, Ghanaians started mocking Sarkodie for endorsing UT Bank in one of his songs when he probably knew they weren’t financially stable.
Expressing his opinion about this subject for the first time, Sarkodie advised Ghanaians to believe in the local banks in order for them to grow, using UT Bank to illustrate his point.
He wrote;
