Is it safe to say Sarkodie is the most successful rapper of all time in Ghana?Beyond his success, he’s hugely talented and breathtaking. It’s definitely no coincidence that he keeps on winning awards all the time.
BTM Africa owned by Ebenezer Donkoh has awarded Sarkodie as the hottest rapper out of ten other hugely talented rappers in Ghana. Connoisseurs like DJ Black, DJ Kess, Francis Doku and CEO of the Last Two Music Group,Da’Hammer filtered out the names and arrived that conclusion.
Sarkodie beat other contenders like M.anifest, EL, Medikal, Edem, Teephlow, Strongman, Kojo Cue, Flowking Stone and Cabum. Factors which were used to determine the winner includes lyrics, buzz, style and other unique qualities that set them apart from the others.
Sarkodie had his breakthrough in 2008 when he was featured on Edem’sU dey craze song. His songs normally depict the struggles he’s being through before Dr. Duncan discovered him on the famed Kasahare level show.
The rappers who made the cut have indeed be consistent and managed to create an aura which conspicuously distinguish them from the other several rappers in Ghana, both mainstream and underground.
