Sarkodie is by far the best Ghanaian rapper of all time (we don’t think this is arguable at all since the likes of Obrafuor and Reggie Rockstone, the two legends of the rap game have confirmed that there’s no one like Obidi) and the numerous awards he has in his consolidate this.
Let’s walk you through most of the awards he has stacked up in his cabinet. Anyway, before we do that, let’s remind you that Sarkodie is the most decorated rapper in Africa and the facts are there to substantiate this.

In 2010, he took an award for Ghana best Artist award of the year soon after the release of his maiden album, ‘Maakye’. In 2012 and 2014, Sarkodie won BET Awards.
The “Illuminati” song was a hit in the world in 2012 which made him win the BET Award. In 2014, he was nominated for the BET Award including other artists such as Diamond Platinumz, AKA, Sauti Sol, Fally Ipupa, Yemi Alade, and Casper Nyovest.

The award was contested by other musicians such as Wizkid, P square duo, Ice Prince, and D’Banj. The rapper won an award in 2013 for the Best West African Act in the African and American Nations Music Awards.
In 2015, he won the Best Collaboration of the Year after releasing the song “Adonai.” In 2015, he also won a Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards In 2016, Sarkodie won the EMY Awards as he was considered as the best entertainer during that year.
The award encourages leadership skills that focus on achievement and at the same time challenging the youths to focus on greatness.
