Ace Dancehall/Reggae artiste, Samini has revealed the motivation behind his hit song, Gyae Shi, which he composed several years ago.
The song was a massive hit despite the conflicting theme it transmitted. In the song, Samini advised the youth to stay away from marijuana and stick to only Apketeshie,

Ultimately he says the two should never be taken simultaneously else it will pose a great risk to the user.
Years down the line, Samini, born Emmanuel Andrew Samini, revealed this in an exclusive interview with Abeiku Sanatana on UTV that he composed the song when he was very young after he blended ‘wee’ (weed) with Akpeteshie one hot afternoon and realized that Akpeteshie was better than ‘wee.’
He said:
It’s a long story; I was very young at that time and I remember that very afternoon I blended the two and that was my experience.
