Singer and dancer Akosua Agyapong and Rex Omar were an item sometime back but unlike many relationships that are birthed on the notion that they might end up on God’s holy altar someday, Rex says his with the dancer had a different twist.
According to Rex Omar, his relationship with Akosua was never one that was going to end with marriage. He says his illicit affair could not be because he was already before teaming with Amanzeba and her as Nakorex.
Speaking on Class Fm 91.3 on Thursday, 31 May 2018, Rex Omar said:
“No! I didn’t want to marry Akosua Agyapong. Akosua is more or less like my sister and even before NAKOREX, I was already engaged with Abiba.
“I married very early, so, before we came together as NAKOREX, Abiba was there, so, there was no way and since then, the three of us are still friends, even on Wednesday May 30, I was with Amandzeba Nat Brew the whole day, Amandzeba has been like my senior brother.
“I think, perhaps, I’m too much married to my music, so, it took my attention from women,” Rex Omar, whose ‘Abiba’ song became a hit noted.”
