Well, this piece is not a personal opinion. It’s a survey conducted by the Media Foundation for West Africa’s (MFWA’s) election 2020 campaign language monitor.

The names that popped up in this list does not drop our jaws in anyway, as most of us have come to realize this is the only tool these people herein employ to intimidate their opponents while elevating their own status.

So according to MFWAS’s research, these 6 politicians are the most abusive within the period that they were monitored- apparently in the month of June, 2020 for making unsubstantiated allegations, intimidation and using indecent expressions on radio.

1. Kennedy Agyapong

Kennedy Ohene Agyapong represents the people of Assin Central in parliament on behalf of the New Patriotic Party. He was first elected a member of parliament in 2000 to the seat of Assin North. He retained his seat in the 2004 and 2008 parliamenary elections. His fame firmly hinges on his outbursts, insults, vituperation and other form of indecency at people who step on his toes on radio and other mainstream platforms.

2. Kwabena Mintah Akando

Kwabena Mintah Akandoh is the MP for Juaboso Constituency in the Western Region on the ticket of the National Democratic Congress. He has gained notoriety with his fiery utterances on radio which inevitable pegged his name on this list.

3.Collins O. Amankwah

Collins Owusu Amankwah is the NPP MP for Manhyia North Constituency in the Ashanti Region of Ghana. He’s penchant for using indecent language on people who don’t agree with him is well known.

4. Sammy Gyamfi

Samuel Gyamfi is the communications officer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). He flirted with trouble recently when he ridiculed Nana Akufo Addo with his infamous caricature that depicted the painful death of African American George Floyd who died shortly after a white cop knelt on his neck for almost 10-minutes. He’s also widely known for the away he attack his political opponent, albeit in a subtle way.

5. Nana Boakye (Nana B)

Nana Boakye is the National Youth Organiser of the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP). Nana ‘B’ as he is known in political circles was elected the National Youth Organiser of the NPP in July 2018. 

6. Nana Agyenim Boateng

Nana Agyenim Boateng is a Ghanaian politician known as the flag bearer of the United Front Party. He is one of the candidates who was disqualified from contesting in the 2016 general elections by the Electoral Commission of Ghana.
