Rawlings Is Dead: The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has complained of president Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo trying his very best to steal Late Jerry John Rawlings’s death from his own founded political party members.
Former President Jerry John Rawlings died on Thursday, 12 November, 2020 at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital; Accra.
After many rumors about the cause of his death, the family came out to deny all false rumors.

President Akufo-addo and Vice Dr. Bawumia signed their book of condolences on Friday, at Rawlings’s recidence.
Later that day, current leader of the NDC, John Dramani Mahama and his entourage arrived to sign their book of condolences to their former boss. Unfortunately, they were denied the honor.

Prior to that, the Rawlings’ family has delegated members to officially announced the death of former President Rawlings to the presidency.

President Akufo-Addo on Friday, 13 November, 2020 held an event with the Ghana Armed Forces in honor of the former Military Leader, Jerry John Rawlings.
It is in this light that General Secretary of the NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia is accusing President Akufo-Addo of trying to steal the honor of Rawling’s death from the Umbrella party.
Speaking in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM, Mr. Asiedu Netia noted that, President Akufo-Addo failed to even mentioned that, Rawlings is the Founder of NDC, in his official addresss to the nation about Mr. Rawlings’s death.
Mr. Asiedu Nketia said, if situation do not change, the NDC will participate in the national funeral, but will also organize their own for their Founding Father Late Jerry John Rawlings.
