Contrary to assertions that Ex-President Jerry John Rawlings bought ‘gari and beans’ locally called “yor ke gari” without paying while at the Airforce Training School in Takoradi, it has been revealed that the assertion was untrue.

Daavi Deede, Proprietress of the 11-11 beans joint, a renown beans joint in Takoradi in the Sekondi-Takoradi Metropolis (STMA) of the Western Region has refuted the claim describing it as a palpable lie.

Speaking to takoradi based Spice FM ,she said it was never true that the late President Rawlings and his colleagues bought beans from her outfit without paying and urged Ghanaians to disabuse their minds on it.

She however noted that she received the news of his death with disbelief and expressed grief over his loss and how she would miss the former customer, especially his affability and service.
