John Dumelo is back in the news again and we believe he simply cannot shy away from politics despite the insults he receives from some quarters.

Yesterday (March 6), Ghana celebrated its 61st Independence anniversary in the midst of the many challenges confronting the nation and this what John Dumelo want us to ponder about.

Ghana and Africa in general is plagued with lot of problems yet we indulge in frivolous and trivial ventures such this parade that adds no value to our socio-economic lives.

He took to Twitter to ask rhetorically:

Pupils lie on their stomachs to study in Yikurugu, UER, teachers teach IT with no computers all over the country etc. Yet we budget millions to celebrate 6th March?

The traditional Independence Day parade was held across the country, while in the capital Accra, President Akufo-Addo received the national salute at the Black Star Square.

The celebrations was under the theme :”Ghana beyond Aid.”
