One of Ghana’s renowned men of God, prophet Kumchaha of Heaven’s Gate Ministries has lavished praises on veteran Highlife musician, Amakye Dede describing him as a man with dexterity and great lyrical content.

One would have though Kumchaha will play the hypocritical card and suppress his feelings towards ‘worldly’ song in his capacity as a man of God. Instead he professed his love for the genre, and said provided it can draw one closer to God and shuns evil, he sees nothing wrong with listening to them.

Many gospel musicians and Christians in this country have shrouded their way of life in deed hypocrisy, describing any song which is not gospel sinful and thus do not want have anything to do with secular musicians. Yet they secretly listen to these songs privately or play during weddings and naming ceremonies.

Prophet Kumchaha who is known for his sense of humour, also emphasized that it’s only when a song promotes sekz, adultery and other levels of immorality that he wouldn’t not subscribe to.
