The Government of Nigeria has launched the ‘Door of Return’ following Ghana’s hugely successful Year of Return which has seen African Americans and other superstars from the diaspora visiting the country to explore the country and see at first hand the history of the slave trade.

The Year of Return, Ghana 2019 is a major landmark spiritual and birth-right journey inviting the Global African family, home and abroad, to mark 400 years of the arrival of the first enslaved Africans in Jamestown, Virginia.

Following its success, Ghana’s neighbouring country has launched theirs and it’s interesting the name they chose for it.

A flyer we came across on social media details everything the Door of Return represents.
