Popular Yoruba actress, Jaiye Kuti has disclosed that she is an Abiku (Ogbanje) which means a person who believes to have been reincarnated on earth again and has lived a past life before.
It also stands for a child who keeps dying as an infant and the child getting born into the world over and over again by the mother.
Jaiye Kuti revealed that her mother gave birth to eleven children with her inclusive but she kept dying and getting born again to make the mother’s children as seven.
She took to Instagram to celebrate her mum in a lengthy post and wrote:
“Happy beautiful birthday to my forever praying mother. Iya Jaiye atata, Oyinlola Ashaje. Omo Ajilala Eso, omo aji fojo gbogbo da bi Egbin. I don’t know where to start or what long story to write but to say a mother like Iya Jaiye is just one on Earth. She is a Wonder Woman.”
“She gave birth to 11 children and because of me (Abiku) we are now seven. She said she wanted to have many children as She’s not sure which one will be Abiku again. Then she met Christ Jesus and gave all her life. And from there and then, here we are not only that she has children.”
