The demonstration meant today on KNUST campus by some students have turned violent as security personnel have been chased away, their duty posts vandalized whilst cars and motors set ablaze.
The student body this morning encountered heavily armed police officers of which the protesters charged against them. The Police personnel who for the fear of their lives fired three warning shots which didn’t disperse the mob, eventually drove away leaving the students more angered.
Right from there, the charged agitators moved towards the University’s main Security post of which report has it that the security post and some private cars and buses were vandalised.

The Security personnel who got a hint before the students got to the premises because of fear went into hiding as there wasn’t a single security personnel at the scene.
A report has it that the demonstration started with boycotting lectures and subsequently walking around campus showing placards and chanting ‘war morale songs’.
According to reports, a heavily armed masked police personnel have been deployed on the school’s premises.

Meanwhile, the police enforcement team have beefed up its strength at the University’s premises.
