Ace music producer and CEO of Slip Music, Mark Okraku Mantey has waded into the Patapaa-‘no show’  at the just ended Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) which occurred at the Accra International Conference Centre in Accra.

The singer was widely tipped to win the the Most Popular Song of the Year

but shockingly it went to Fancy Gadam.

This development came as  huge surprise to many people especially on the back of the widespread of Patapaa’s One Corner

throughout Ghana and beyond.

Mark Okraku Mantey speaking on Joy FM yesterday (April 16), noted that obviously One Corner was more popular than any other song but the public probably didn’t vote for him.

Mark also indicated that, Fancy Gadam’s fans from the North could have been a factor for Patapaa’s woes but maintained he was best placed to have won the coveted award.
