Vice President His Excellency Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia on Thursday 3 September announced that the government has provided seed money worth of GHC 100 million into Housing Policy.
The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has put the Housing sector into their list of priority, hence has been making efforts to revise the sector’s policy.
In spite of this, The Vice President has said there will be a seed money worth of the aforementioned amount for the revision of the National Rentals Assistance Scheme (NRAS).
He said “The NRAS will be seeded with GH¢100 million, to provide low-interest loans to eligible Ghanaians to enable them pay rent advance. Our housing policy would also place an emphasis on social housing for the poor.”
