Chiefs of the Northern Region have commended Vice President Mahamudu Bawuia for the numerous developmental projects that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) had done in the region.
His Excellency Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawuia on his working visit to the Northern Region of Ghana on Sunday 6 September, 2020 visited the people of Gushegu and Karaga Constituencies where he met the Chiefs of these areas at durbars to discuss development related issues.
The Veep reveals “On Sunday, my working visit to the Northern part of Ghana took me to Gushegu and Karaga constituencies in the Northern region; Salaga South and North constituencies in the Savannah region where I met with Chiefs and People at durbars to discuss development related issues.”
He aslo said the Chiefs shared their grievances of how the former government of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) eluded them off developmental project.
He added: “The Chiefs lamented that the constituency had not seen any development under the 8 years of the previous NDC government.”

In addition, Vice President Bawumia said the people expressed their gratitude to the government’s intervention programmes such as the Free Senior High School, 1 Village 1 Dam, and the Planting for Food and Jobs.
“It was pleasing to hear testimonies from the people how the many interventions such as; One Village One Dam, Free SHS, Planting, the Planting for Export and Rural Development (PERD), Planting for Food and Jobs (PFJ) and massive infrastructure amongst others introduced by President Akufo-Addo’s administration amidst the peaceful coexistence due to the settling of Chieftaincy disputes are transforming the lives of the people and also the growth of these communities”

His Excellency Bawumia urged them to vote for the NPP to retain tinot power for them to region to benefit form developmental project.
