Nigerians are very sensitive people and always want to win any argument which reflects on their ego. The issue of which African makes the best Jollof rice ranges on. The argument was soon narrowed down to Ghana and Nigeria, with both countries not willing to compromise and who make the best Jollof.
A Nigerian minister has added a new twist to the argument. The Nigerian minister for information, Lai Mohammed, has come under fire after he expressed that the Senegalese Jollof Rice is better than the Nigerian Jollof rice.
During an interview with Richard Quest, the CNN reporter and host of Quest Means Business, Mohammed was asked which African country makes the best Jollof rice
The minister responded and said: “I will probably say Senegal.” His opinion has really angered lots of social media users.
