In the African setting, women are the custodians of the house, as it were. This means they perform daily routines such as sweeping, cooking,washing and taking care of children.
These activities has been predefined by the society such that, young boys have been made to believe the above mentioned chores are limited to only females.
It becomes a rare spectacle when a husband decides to break the norm and help his wife carry out some of these things.
A Nigeria father identified as Adewale Aladejana has shared his opinion on the matter after getting the chance to help his wife with chores for a few days.
According to Aladejana, he decided to help his wife around the house after their housemaid left.
He explained that the work he has done in the past four days has made him appreciate his wife. Aladejana has therefore asked African men to help their wives with household chores.
In a picture he shared on Facebook, the caring husband and father is seen plaiting his daughter’s hair and it’s so adorable.
