Speaker of the House of Representatives in Nigeria, Femi Gbajabiamila, has pleaded with the United States to come to the aid of Nigeria to fight the notorious islamist group known as Boko Haram.

The speaker made the appeal while hosting the US Ambassador to Nigeria, Mary Beth Leonard in Abuja on Tuesday. Boko Haram has been terrorising the country for quite sometime now. They have carried out series of bombing, abductions, burning, looting and destroying of public properties.

Mr. Femi Gbajabiamila made it Known that Nigeria is helpless at this moment, they are tired and can’t continue the fight with Boko Haram. There is unrest and high level of insecurity in the country and for that matter, they are looking up to the United States of America for assistance.
