The National Basketball Association has overruled the decision of Dallas Mavericks’ owner Mark Cuban to quit playing the United States national anthem during the Mavericks home games.

You may recall GhGossip.com yesterday reported how the owner has instructed his team not to play the national anthem during their home games at the American Airline Center this season and got into a very long conversation with the NBA commissioner Adam Silver.

In less than 24 hours after the news hit the media, the NBA has released a statement through the NBA Chief Communications Officer Mike Bass, requesting all the league teams to play the national anthem before games. He stated;

With NBA teams now in the process of welcoming fans back into their arenas, all teams will play the national anthem in keeping with longstanding league policy

Mark Cuban stopped his Dallas Mavericks team from playing the national anthem of the team’s 13 preseason and regular season games since November. Mark commenting on the issue stated;

It was my decision, and I made it in November
